Architectural Conversion and Refinement

This renovation and addition project transformed a pool house into a year-round residence, adding 2,687 square feet of interior space to the existing 726-square-foot structure. SP Architects also shaped a new garden to the south and redirected the outdoor spaces away from the previous pool-only view. The project exemplifies SP Architects' ability to transform homes into contemporary, energy-efficient residences while maintaining architectural harmony with the natural environment.

Project Highlights:

  • Garden Orientation: New porches and a connector reshape outdoor spaces to overlook a picturesque pond.
  • Double-Wall Construction: Achieves a high-performance building envelope with an R-48.2 wall cavity and R-55.6 roof insulation.
  • Energy Efficiency: Designed to meet Energy Star standards, reducing energy consumption.
